The Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (BITS Pilani) is an Indian institute of higher education and a deemed university. It was established on 1964 under Section 3 of the UGC Act. The university is well known in every level of higher studies. The university has various departments to offers undergraduate education in engineering and the sciences. The University conducts the all-India computerised competitive entrance examination, BITSAT (BITS Admission Test).
