The university was established in the month of November 01, 1986. It is a public state university formerly known as Andhra Pradesh University of Health Sciences. The university has various undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, diploma and super-specialty courses in modern medicine; Dental Surgery, Nursing, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, and Unanimous, Naturopathy, Physiotherapy and Medical Laboratory Technology. Mostly the university conducts the written examination in the month of march and April. Similar to every year, this year also the university was conducted the written examination.
